Explosion

You know how boys are... sometimes they don't talk at all and then all the sudden their saying words and everything like they've been talking for awhile? Marcus kind of did that. He didn't use to try and say a word after me at all but now he does. Instead of saying "diddy" he actually said "kitty" today. He tried to say camel and got it pretty close. He can do the sounds of almost any animal now which he never use to do. I'm so proud of him! I knew it would happen and I just kept talking and talking to him and sure enough his words are coming! He still can't say much and screams when he needs something until I ask him what's wrong, but we're making progress!

And for the record, it was a spider bite. But it's also a staff infection. The lady that's been stuffing and dressing my hole told me that the spider most likely had some bacteria on it's fangs when it bit me so I had the bite underneath and the staff infection on top. She also said that if she had to guess, she'd say it was recluse since it was eating at my muscle. She said that explained a lot because yesterday when we though it was just a staff infection, she was afraid it was going to flair up again because my skin is still raw and tender. If it had been a staff infection it wouldn't be like that.

Oh and Jamesen is almost sitting! Though I fear he'll do exactly what Marcus did and go from sitting to crawling in a few short weeks and then from crawling to cruising and walking in a few short months and then I'll have two crazies to keep after and that will mean no more kids for use. I hope he's not crazy like Marcus because I want a girl to keep me company when Sabe takes the boys camping just him :(

Abscesses are fun!

NOT! I've been calling it a bite but the people at the hospital aren't sure if it was a bit or staff infection so they took a sample to culture and we'll know in three days.

I can't even tell you how glad I am to not have that thing anymore... It started the size of a large zit on Thursday and didn't really change much between then and Friday. On Friday however, the dark ring around the head got bigger and the lighter red around the entire thing grew three times in size. I went to the ER on Saturday after Sabe got off work and they sent me home with some antibiotics.

On Monday I was going to go back in because instead of radiating out in a circle, the redness has started to travel downwards like it was going to my heart and it was starting to really hurt to use my arm. however, Jamesen and Marcus were having a hard time sleeping so I ended up waiting until yesterday to go in.

There were quite a few open wounds, broken bones, high fevers in children and active duty ahead of me so I waited for quite a while before getting in there. They took me back and the doctor told the other guy [I'm not sure what he was.. a nurse? I dunno] to lance it.

I'm afraid of needles. I didn't use to be this bad [hyperventilate and shake right before], but since I got pregnant with Marcus it really heightened that fear. The guy called his coworker in to hold my hand and distract me while he numbed the abscess. Let me tell you, that needle in my extremely tender abscess made me almost cry. I cried out, that's for sure. After I was numb he sliced it open and was really working it to get everything out and I felt it in my lower tissue and it HURT! I was boobing about it a bit. I'm sure the entire ER could hear me "Man this freaking HURTS! OW OW OW OW!!" lol! He couldn't get everything out very easy so he had to shove a pair of surgical scissors in there to break everything up. I didn't look at it but he kept saying "Yep there's another huge chunk, and another, and another...."

They said it was a good thing I came in when I did because it was starting to eat away at my muscle and was probably why it hurt so much to use my arm. I'm on the mend now though! :)

Happy Halloween!!

So it's been long enough since I blogged that the MIL called me to make sure I was ok, lol! Sorry Lynne! We're fine! Since the last time I blogged, we went to a pumpkin patch.

I also caught Marcus blowing out a candle for the first time! It was cute. He tried like 50 times and then was so surprised when he finally got and has tried to blow out the candles in a picture in one of his books multiple times, lol!

I sprayed the boys with bug spray and let them play in the leaves

Marcus had a lot of fun. he was helping me rake and everything, so cute, lol!

Here's some pics of the boys in their costumes!

Can I tell you how sick I am of pics like this? He's looking and grinning so cute and yet.. it's blurry. And the next one, his eyes are half closed. WHY?! And notice the rest, he's not looking or smiling. Sooo frustrating!

I didn't get my carvkin pummed [heehee] but I got everyone else's done, so here they are! :)

Happy Halloween!

oh buzz. buzz. buzz.

We watched Sesame Street this morning [like we do every morning] and the episode was one we've seen countless times. The letter of the day is I. I goes looking for the letter of the day and finds an insect who says "buzz buzz buzz. Buzz buzz buzz. Oh buzz. Buz. Oh buzz. buz. buz." and it makes me laugh every time. It's the episode where the word on the street is mustache and I get all excited cause I know the letter of the day is coming and I get to hear the "OH buz!"

Pathetic.

You can definitely tell I'm a mom.

I've been sick. It's been crappy. It was all in my sinuses and now it's moved into my chest with a cough. Crummy! It's really bringing me down too. I hate being sick. It always makes me irrational and like the world is out to get me. I feel unloved a bit and disheartened by my sad photography abilities. Wah! Sabe would say to me if he were here.

Well maybe that's the problem. Sabe's NOT here. I miss my hubby coming home at the same time every day.

Though I did have fun doing a scrap a thon this weekend and got 12 pages done in 3 days. I was busy busy busy!

I should go to bed. It's late. And no matter how late I stay up, Sabe's still not coming home to night and the later I stay up the more exhausted I'll be when Marcus gets up tomorrow. I put him down early so I could do some more scrapping and didn't scrap a thing! Boooooo

There and Back Again

We're back from Vegas! The boys did so awesome on the plane there. I was really worried about catching my second flight, but it worked out perfectly. The gate we came into was G29 and the Gate I needed was G34 so I didn't even need to go to a different terminal which is good since I only had half an hour between flights. We made it to Vegas at 2 am our time and of course Marcus had a power nap on plane so he was wide awake when we got there. He was all over the place!

Seeing the fishies

Thinking my moms resin train was a toy

playing the piano

I think this was the day after we got there, but how cute is this?

Marcus went from nutcracker to nutcracker making their mouths open, lol!
Then we had the wedding. My mom was invited since they had quite a few cancellations and they said it was nice to have an extra body for the empty seat they still had to pay $50 for. Before the wedding started, Marcus was ALL over the place. The wedding was supposed to start at nap time so he wasn't a very happy little man for awhile there. Until he found the rocks anyway. He kept grabbing them and throwing them in the lake. Which actually worked perfectly since the way to the lake was down the aisle. We told the flower girl to keep going if Marcus stopped, so when he stooped down to grab some rocks, she kept going and then all the sudden you see him running down the aisle. I only got one pic since he went so fast. Standing up at the front didn't last very long and one of the groomsman's wives [I think...] took him over to another area where he could keep throwing rocks and I could stay up front with the rest of the bridesmaids.

This on makes me laugh. This is the groom thinking Marcus needs help up the stairs, lol!

With the flower girl

This is what Jamie did the entire ceremony

The reception

Jamesen got to meet some family while we were down here. This is Auntie Mandy

Uncle Jake

Uncle Nano and soon to be Auntie Dawn
Nano finally proposed and we're all really excited to welcome Dawn to the family!
We took Marcus to a park near my parents house. It's got a rock wall and Marcus went right for it. He needed help placing his feet the first two times he went up but the third he just went up like he'd been doing it his whole life!

I don't know if this will work, but HERE'S a vid off my facebook of him doing it.

Jamesen was blessed by my dad while we were there. Mom made him his blessing outfit and it was sooo cute! It has a little blue bowtie.

After church the sun was coming into the sliding glass door and the lighting was awesome so we took some pics.

And then I got some couple pics of my parents. They didn't turn out as good as I had hoped, but here are a few. The first one had a quick edit and the second is unedited. My mom is so pretty :)

Jake and Amanda brought Abby over. She's so freaking adorable. I seriously can't get enough of her! She loved Jamesen and actually said his name perfectly. I was impressed. Jake and Amanda are trying to conceive and Abby is going to make such an awesome big sister!
He's teething so he's a drool monster and she kept wiping his face off saying "that's disgusting!"

Mandy is really baby hungry so she wouldn't let him go, lol!

I was outside doing... something [I can't remember] and my dad came out and asked for my camera and then went back inside. A few minutes later he comes back out "What do I do??" Made me laugh. This is what he wanted to get a pic of.
My mom and I got some mini cupcakes for Marcus and Abby

Trying to get a good picture of a cranky toddler and baby is very hard. Add in a third person and it's about impossible. Abby was really good about smiling and looking for the camera but of course looked away the minute both boys looked at me, lol!
Moms got a bunch of light up Halloween decorations in the front and we had fun playing with them.

Max really wanted outside too! He got out and was out all night one night and ever since then he'd been trying to get out every second he could.
And a bunch of cute randoms

We missed our first flight. My parent's printer cut off half my e ticket number and the line I was waiting in took too long to get to me. Good thing they had a kid's play area since there was two hours between when my flight I missed left and the new flight boarded. Of course he pretty much sat by the window saying "WOAH!!!" the entire time since you could see the runways from where we were.

It was fun, but we're glad to be back :) We sure missed Sabe and my cloth diapers. Jamesen blew out EVERY time he pooped. Since he's a LaBare, he poops often. it wasn't fun, let me tell you!!
