Is it September yet??

I can't even tell you how long the end of August has lasted to me. I guess I should be happy for it because life hasn't stopped since we moved here, but I just wish it would hurry and be September! I woke up this morning and thought to myself "Finally the last day off August! Geeze!"

Ever since Marcus' party I've been waiting for his birthday. Since we did his party like 3 weeks early, it's really made August drag on. I'm tired of saying "Oh he's almost two" and want to say "He's two!" Close enough right? Right.

It's really starting to feel like Autumn here which weirds me out. Last year on Marcus' birthday it was still really hot. At least the mid 90's. Right now, at almost non, it's 64 degrees. It's been like this the last little bit. You drive out of housing and there's a ton of trees that are already starting to get red leaves. I'm really excited about the leaves changing! I'll be taking pics to show you! :)

You know, I always have a list of things I want to blog about until I sit down to blog and then I can never remember what I wanted to say. It's really frustrating! Oh well. This'll have to do for now :)

A Day in the Life of...

We had Marcus' two year well check today. He got a booster of something. He also had to get his blood checked for lead. I couldn't go with him. I had to have Sabe do it. I've got issues with needles in the arms. I'm ok with shots but blood draws and IV's freak me out. I knew that if I went in there with him, my freaking out would freak him out and make him freak out. So daddy went. Apparently they missed his vein the first time and had to stick him again. And then he got the booster. Daddy was holding him for that too so when Sabe went to pull him out of the car when we got home, he started crying, it was kind of sad.

Anyways, he's almost 26 pounds which puts him in the 25th percentile for weight! You have no idea how excited I was about that. He's not been out of the 10th his entire life so it was nice to know that I'm feeding a well enough balanced diet that he's gaining weight, lol! He's 34.5 inches long which puts him in the 60th percentile. I'm actually pretty sure she did it wrong. They lay the kids on a table, put their head up to the end and bring their one leg all the way down and measure that way. When I looked at M, his neck was craned and so his head was a bit to the side. So he's probably more like 35 inches or something. Who knows?

We spent a lot of time outside today. Marcus was just not having it being inside but my allergies are really kicking in. Since I'm breastfeeding, I can't take allergy medicine because it's all got decongestants in it and it would dry up my milk. Anyways, I brought out a sheet and we sat in the shade while Marcus played. I decided I wanted to get a picture of the boys together and it was a bear!! But I got an alright one.

Marcus hates having Jamesen touch him when it's not his choice, lol. It can be really frustrating. Another thing that's really frustrating is when Jamie is in the swing and starts crying, Marcus runs over and tries to pick him up out of it. Jamesen is a little over 12 lbs and Marcus is almost 26. I let Marcus help me grab Jamesen and bring him to the couch and it's really cute to see him staggering around even though I'm supporting most of Jamie's weight, lol!

I've been playing with my camera lately. I've had it for almost 2 years and I'm only now figuring it out. I think the pics I'm taking now are pretty cute for the most part.

Of course, the models might have something to do with it :)

We've also got a couple friends that love our backyard! We see them all day long every day.
and some videos.

photobucket and blogger have both had issues with this next video so I had to put it on dropshots. It's too funny not to share!

Grandparents and birthday parties

My parents came out to visit this week. I'm so glad they came! It was nice to have them here. Marcus jumped on my mom when she walked in and wouldn't leave her alone, lol. He loves her so much, it makes me so happy! She brought him the book in that picture and he kept handing it to her and climbing on her lap for her to read it to him and grabbing her finger and pulling her to the backdoor to go outside.

Jamesen loved them as well. My dad was able to burp him really well and he would just hang out and chill with him and my mom. It was soooo nice to have help!

While they were here, we had Marcus' party because they missed his first birthday. Here are some pics from that:

He had a blast! My parents got him a Tonka dump truck and a little Tonka garbage truck that you pull back and it goes forward and makes sounds. Sabe and I got him a thing that goes on the fridge that has the alphabet and a tricycle and my friend connie got him a Handy Manny DVD. Can you guess what the favorite toy out of that is?? The garbage truck! He didn't even stop playing with it to run for the trike like I thought he would! I was amazed, lol! Silly kid.

Jamesen has been smiling a lot lately but he's so hard to get on camera. He'll smile a ton and then the camera comes out and he won't. This is my attempt to get a smile when he was grinning at my mom. His smiles are quick!
Here's some pics of my parents they're grandboys :)

I so love this one!!

As I said, Sabe and I got the M man a tricycle. We took him to the park yesterday to test it out. Sabe went ahead with him while I fed Jamie-boy really quick and then I went with the trike. When Marcus saw me he started laughing and came running towards me
That picture is literally two seconds before he trips on his flipflop and face plants. Oh it was so sad :( Luckily we had given him some tylenol right before we left because he's been teething really bad so he didn't cry like he normally would. He got a huge bruise on his forehead from it. You can see it in the pics with my parents and in the next few pics.

He loved the trike! And after only about 1o minutes he figured out how to peddle it! He can't really start out on his own, you have to give him a little push, but he'll peddle! I'm so proud of him. He's so smart.

And a video of it

So that's what's been going on for the last little bit. Thanks for reading! :D
