Jamesen amazes me

I've been so use to Marcus and his antics that it's really weird to have Jamesen come a long and be himself. He's already saying stuff. Marcus wasn't even close at this age. Jamesen says "MMM!!" every time he eats something he likes [usually something sweet], will shake his head when you say no to Marcus, will shake his head if he doesn't want anymore food, will mimic sounds and call me mommy and Sabe daddy.

It's seriously amazing to me to see him do all these things after it took Marcus forever. I guess there really is something to say about having an older sibling makes you do things faster. It makes me feel bad, but Jamesen has a better learning environment than Marcus did at this age since I'm working with Marcus on things. I talk a lot more because I talk to Marcus and he responds. Makes me feel bad. I wonder if Marcus would have started talking earlier if I had been talking and trying to teach him more from an earlier age.

Marcus is smart though. The kid has a crazy memory. He sings along with almost every song. It's hilarious actually! We were listening to Boom Boom Pow by Black Eyed Peas on the way to the mall. When we got there, Sabe and I split up. Apparently the entire time Marcus was with Sabe, he was singing bits from the song. HILARIOUS! He was singing again in the car when I turned it on again on the way home just to hear him sing. I love when he sings. It's so cute.

Anyways, that's it for now. I'll try and be better about writing on this blog. It kinda seem pointless now though since I do my 365 blog and that one gets written on almost every day.

Note to self

Note to self:

-Your brain doesn't work properly. Proof read everything before submitting!

-People online can't read emotion in what you write so take extra care to make sure they know what emotion you're conveying so they don't bite your head off for nothing.

-Your husband is truly amazing!

-When Marcus throws [yet another] tantrum, remember... ignore him. It works better than getting frustrated.

-Patience will save you.

-When you're thinking that life sucks, that the kids are horrible and you wish you weren't a mom today, remember that it could be worse. Your life is actually pretty good and it's selfish to think it's not.

-Perspective is everything. Sometimes you need to change yours.

-Above all, you have a family that loves you and that's all that matters.

Recent happenings

I had an awesome birthday! It was the best one I've ever had! We just relaxed and did some shopping in the morning/afternoon and then that evening, Sabe and I went out to Carabba's for dinner. Sabe surprised me with a diamond penguin necklace and earrings.

We came home and the best part... the kids were angels for Lynne!! Yes, Jamesen was an angel! I'm not surprised that Marcus did well because he usually does, but I'm dumbfounded that Jamie did so well! Amazed! Very happy! We're going on another date on Saturday :D

So yesterday... We went to get Sabe a truck. We've been saving for the down payment for it for a while and we decided it was time. We found out that our credit scores are awesome [mines 730 and his is 740] and it got us a great deal on the truck. So we signed the papers and were finalizing everything when the owner of the place asked us what vehicle we owed the 22K on and and said that since we were already buying a truck, he would trade our CR-V for an Xterra and make it so our monthly payments are the exact same. We traded in our 2006 CR-V for a 2010 Xterra and are only paying $8 extra a month! I'm so stoked to have my own car!

And Sabe's the proud owner of a Nissan Titan

zoo pics

We went to the zoo today. I'm going to see how many zoos I can get under the kid's belts in their life time. So far, Marcus has been to the Hogle [Salt Lake], Louisville, Idaho Falls and Denver. Jamie's been to all of those if you count him being in my belly at the Hogle. I'm hoping to take the kids and my mom to San Diego this summer. We'll have to get that zoo in if we go!

Ok well, it's a lot easier to upload pics to facebook than it is on here, so here's the link to my FB album

An Emotional Day

I know I complain about my kids growing up too fast a lot. It's really true though, they grow SO FAST. I know they grow fast, I'm watching them grow fast. The worst thing though, was coming to visit Brittanie. This is the last time I saw Erin and Britt was pregnant with Patrick [at least I'm pretty sure this is the last time...] This was Thanksgiving '08. Marcus was 14 months old. Erin was 17.

Fast forward a few months over a year and this what I come to find with Brittanie.

An Erin with hair and a full set of teeth

And a Patrick I've never met who is already over a year old.

This was us at Thanksgiving '08.

My little man has graduated out of needing his teething necklace, has a full set of hair and a feisty personality.

And my new guy, who I've only just realized that I've not gotten any good pics of him the entire time I've been here. This is one of the last Kentucky pics. My 9.5 month old.

Seriously, when did they get so big? When did this happen?

and I think I'm still in denial that these two even exist.

love these kids

I love these kids. It's nice to have other kids to photograph. Specially Erin! She's such a little model and poses for me and it's so easy to get her to smile. I'm sure Britt would say different, but kids never smile for mom like they do other people.

Only one more sleep 'til...

Colorado!! WHOO!

Can you tell I'm excited? Sabe's packing boxes into the Uhaul as we speak. I would be helping, but somebody decided to take a late nap and now is wide awake in my lap...

He's so profound isn't he? :P

Next time I write, I promise I'll be back with pics!
